Is there a real problem to solve?
Start with market need, not novelty.

Areas of Focus
Point of View
Great science doesn't move markets on its own.Belief does.
A technology can be elegant, innovative, and more sustainable and still struggle in the market.
Customers need a reason to change. They need to understand what the innovation solves, how it performs, whether it fits into their world, and why adopting it is worth the effort.
That is where I do my best work: connecting what is technically possible with what the market will actually embrace.
Belief is earned when evidence, performance, transparency, customer need, and a shared vision come together.
Start with market need, not novelty.
Sustainability cannot excuse poor taste, difficult formulation, weak performance, or unrealistic economics.
Regulatory, applications, stability, cost in use, and implementation matter as much as the science.
Trust grows through evidence, transparency, customer feedback, and shared commitment.
I believe sustainable innovation should aspire to more than being the responsible choice.
The best technologies should become the desirable choice because they perform beautifully, solve something real, improve our lives, and reduce the burden we place on the planet.
That means listening before launching. Bringing customers into the process early. Being transparent about what works and what still needs work. Designing for real applications, real economics, and real people.
Better science deserves more than admiration. It deserves adoption.

How I Help
I help companies pressure-test assumptions, bring the voice of the customer into the room, translate technical complexity into meaningful value, and build the trust and demand required to move an innovation forward.
Before we build the launch plan, I want to know whether the market actually needs what you built.
I pressure-test market need, customer fit, competitive realities, regulatory pathways, application performance, pricing, and adoption barriers before turning them into a focused path to market.
Includes: Positioning, segmentation, market intelligence, voice of customer, SWOT analysis, competitive landscape, launch planning, messaging, and commercialization roadmaps.
The goal is not to make science simpler. It is to make what matters impossible to miss.
I work with scientists, commercial teams, and customers to uncover the real takeaway, preserve the evidence behind it, and create content at the right technical depth for each audience.
Includes: White papers, technical articles, presentations, websites, executive communications, press releases, investor narratives, sales content, and corporate storytelling.
I would rather generate 100 leads sales wants than 10,000 names nobody knows what to do with.
Demand starts with a real customer problem and the right audience. I build campaigns and content around genuine market needs, then use qualification and nurture to turn interest into meaningful commercial conversations.
Includes: Paid media, media placement, lead generation, nurture campaigns, trade show follow-up, sales decks, customer presentations, campaign strategy, and pipeline support.
A new technology does not always need a new category. It needs a reason customers should care.
I help companies decide when to create a new market narrative and when to connect an innovation to a category customers already understand. The goal is clarity, differentiation, and relevance, not novelty for novelty’s sake.
Includes: Brand positioning, value propositions, category education, naming and messaging architecture, customer narratives, product architecture, and market education.
Authority is not something you optimize into existence. You earn it by being useful.
I build technically credible content around the questions customers are actually asking, helping companies become trusted and discoverable across search, AI answers, industry media, conferences, and market conversations.
Includes: SEO, GEO, AI search visibility, technical content, LinkedIn strategy, executive thought leadership, conference abstracts, media angles, speaking topics, bylined articles, and earned visibility.
Marketing should bring the voice of the customer into the room before the product reaches the market.
I connect scientists, applications teams, sales, leadership, and customers early enough to challenge assumptions, identify friction, build consensus, and improve the odds of successful adoption.
Includes: Commercial planning, voice of customer, executive advising, market intelligence, cross-functional alignment, launch support, agency and vendor direction, content planning, and marketing leadership.
What I Believe
A fascinating technology is not a market. Start with a real problem worth solving.
Sustainability matters, but customers still expect products to work.
Share the good science, the difficult findings, and what still needs to be solved.
The best outcomes happen when scientists, customers, formulators, regulatory teams, sales, and commercial leaders build together.
Meaningful stepwise improvement can move industries forward while better solutions continue to evolve.
I've spent more than a decade helping science-driven companies connect technical possibility with customer reality across food, beverage, nutrition, sustainable ingredients, and bioactive platforms.

About
I'm a chemist by training and a marketing strategist by practice, but the common thread throughout my career has always been curiosity.
I like working with people who know more than I do. Scientists, formulators, commercial leaders, customers, and founders all see different pieces of the same opportunity. My strength is listening to those perspectives, asking questions, finding the tension, and helping teams build a direction they can believe in together.
I'm especially drawn to innovations that can make food, nutrition, materials, and everyday products healthier, more resilient, and more sustainable.
Outside of work, that same mindset shapes how I live: cooking, staying active, spending time outdoors in San Diego, traveling, appreciating great design, and staying curious about how we can live well without losing sight of the world we leave behind.
I want sustainable innovation to feel less like sacrifice and more like possibility.
Better products should be desirable because they work beautifully, fit our lives, and help build a healthier future for people and the planet.

New ingredients do not succeed on science alone. They need clear positioning, credible education, and a market story customers can believe in.
